First loves aren't always your last. Sometimes love finds you and it could either break you or make you whole. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.Embark on a story with a girl who at first glance immediately felt enchanted by a guy who seemed almost perfect. When she develops a major crush on him and then by chance gets an opportunity to finally talk to him things took a turn for the worst after certain events unfolded.
Let's just say her heart was never the same again. She learns to live with the pain of heartbreak and not to let it consume her. She battles with so much insecurities that she thinks everything is her fault.Take a look at her story through poetry.

This is my story, or rather a compilation of stories that spans more than a decade. Each piece is written from a place of truth with the exception of the names mentioned. The book itself will broken into sections, with each representing a different moment of my life that was instrumental in helping me define what love is and what it is not. She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else.
