Many years ago, a powerful Fae and alchemist by the name of Acheron wrought havoc upon the land of Abhainn and turned his own kin into creatures of air, earth, fire, and water. A human general by the name of Killian O'Dubhghail ventured to settle in the fertile lands of the South and found himself and his people in the middle of a war with creatures thought only to be legends; he saw victory brought to his people and established the city of Dóchas, 'hope'. His people named him their Ardrí, his first official act; build a wall around the city to protect his people from the return of Acheron.
