Nadine is one of the thousands of teenagers sent to Red Hollow to undergo "The Wilderness Cure" to cure her neurodivergence (OCD) and unique powers. The Counselors keep a tight rein on their group of twelve female Patients, slowly draining them of their supernatural abilities. Nadine falls in love with one of her fellow Patients, the spoiled but enchanting Katrinh. Nadine convinces the other Patients to revolt and kill their Cure Counselors.
