Twisted Turmoil
Centuries ago, the supernatural decided to come out of hiding. It sparked a war, all sides suffering until a treaty was formed. All species signed it. While most of the world chose to intermingle and live in coexistence, two countries remained the outliers. North America split into territories. The werewolves took most of the mid- western side, save for the coast that had been more city dominated. The vampires claimed the coastal sides that were city dominated. A few decades after the treaty, the boundary lines blurred but still existed. Witches and humans intermixed; some preferred the solitude the forests provided while others liked the constant movement of the cities. No one was restricted to specific sides. There were stories of others, the fae and merfolk. They had long since died out during the war. Humans now threatened to follow in their footsteps.

Eli
Et circa horam nonam, clamavit Jesus voce magna dicens: Eli Eli, lama sabachthani? ---- 80 years ago, after more than 300 years, vampires suddenly reappeared. Predicted to have gone extinct after Dracula's death, England, with the rest of the world, believed they were safe from the vampire's scourge. To help with protecting citizens, curfews were put into place, but nothing quite keeps vampires away. Eris Tasche longs for more. Her hands are full as she prepares for the day her mother dies of Alzheimer's, but when she is alone, she dreams of indulging the fantasies she's longed for since her father left them both. One harrowing night turns her life upside down, trauma shaking her to her core. She is shoved into a world beyond her understanding, and it turns out those previous fantasies may not be so hard to obtain. In fact, some are willing to fall at her feet so she may have them. Unfortunately, the Queen's deal, a mortal from her past life who still cares for her, and the rising call to execute all vampires may ruin that forever. (Title pronounced: A-lee)
