Kana Honebami's transfer to Hyakkou Academy, a school that serves as the illicit, vice-ridden personal casino of Japan's most privileged young adults, is still somehow the most traditional aspect of her education. Sent to obtain a "traditional" college experience after completing a six month "training session" alone and off the grid in the Colorado badlands, the university provides a whole new ecosystem just as treacherous as the desert. As her older cousin Kirari introduces her to new aspects of the family business and mentors her in how to survive this new jungle, she becomes entangled with the academy's most dangerous occupants, and learns that the heart is the most dangerous animal of them all.

Ikishima Midari knows there's more to the amiable new transfer student than meets the eye. As they grow closer, she seems to be one of the only ones capable of soothing Midari's untamed, rabid beast of a soul. She knows that she and Kana are either meant to conquer the world together, or to eat each other alive.

Rei Batsubami is a wolf that has been chained so long she believes she's only a dog. Kana knows something noble and wild when she sees it. It's that simple.
