The icy blue lake glistened in the sunlight thrashing down on it. almost like diamonds. It was memorising to any creature that acknowledged it, capturing its beauty in all its glory. The other side was a forest of summer green trees, almost as though it was keeping the lake away from harm. Guards.
As I walked through the flower field that's when I saw him sat there on the plaid blanket with a basket to his side and snowflake shaped cookies. He rose to his feet, holding one hand out, embracing mine in his exposing the obvious size different.
Lips touching to mine, our hair moved in unison to the wind gliding through our bodies which layed on the blanket. Closing my eyes for just a moment, the once summer breeze turned into bitter winter.
We were no longer both on the blanket, I was alone and as I looked out over the lake, it was frozen over with bodies of deceased frozen underneath. Horror was before my eyes as I walked towards the edge. Looking over at my refection, my once white loose-fitting dress was stained with blood oozing from my lower abdomen.
I tapped my finger to the wet patch and looked at the fresh blood staining my fingertips. My eyes lifted to see him. Stood there pointing his wand in my direction.
I screamed in agony, smashing through the frozen over lake.
Peace.

Book One in the TDITIF series "The Dragon in the Ice Fortress" is a gripping tale of love, loyalty, and survival in the darkest days of the wizarding world. The story unravels the complex layers of Draco Malfoy, a boy hardened by his family's expectations, caught in a war he never chose, and haunted by the impossible tasks placed upon him by Voldemort. As he teeters on the brink of despair, his icy exterior seems impenetrable-until Thalia Ashford steps into his life. Thalia, a strikingly independent transfer from Beauxbatons, is more than just another student at Hogwarts. Behind her sharp tongue and fiery determination lies a past as complicated as Draco's, one marked by tragedy, secrecy, and an unrelenting fight for freedom. Drawn together by chance and circumstance, Draco and Thalia form a connection that neither of them expects-one built on shared pain, guarded trust, and a flicker of hope in an otherwise bleak world. As the shadow of war looms over Hogwarts, their fragile bond is tested. Thalia begins to uncover the truth behind Draco's secretive behavior: the pressure of his family's allegiance to Voldemort, the unrelenting demands of the Dark Mark on his arm, and the soul-crushing weight of a mission destined to end in bloodshed. Meanwhile, Thalia faces her own struggles as the conflict forces her to choose between standing by Draco or joining the Order in their fight against the growing darkness.

WARNING: Graphic depictions of suicidal ideation, self harm, and depression The battle of Hogwarts is over and students have returned to finish their education. Romione is no more, but he is still thinking about her. And, Draco is as well. These two will do anything to get her to love them. People will be hurt mentally, and physically. But how far will each go for Hermione Granger? *NOTE: not everything in this story will be true to the books and movies **NOTE: i wrote this story when i was about 12 and it was one of the first pieces i ever wrote and the only one i've ever completed. it is not very well written and cheesy, in typical 12 year old style. it's a little embarrassing and not how i would write something now. you have been forewarned.
