The icy blue lake glistened in the sunlight thrashing down on it. almost like diamonds. It was memorising to any creature that acknowledged it, capturing its beauty in all its glory. The other side was a forest of summer green trees, almost as though it was keeping the lake away from harm. Guards.
As I walked through the flower field that's when I saw him sat there on the plaid blanket with a basket to his side and snowflake shaped cookies. He rose to his feet, holding one hand out, embracing mine in his exposing the obvious size different.
Lips touching to mine, our hair moved in unison to the wind gliding through our bodies which layed on the blanket. Closing my eyes for just a moment, the once summer breeze turned into bitter winter.
We were no longer both on the blanket, I was alone and as I looked out over the lake, it was frozen over with bodies of deceased frozen underneath. Horror was before my eyes as I walked towards the edge. Looking over at my refection, my once white loose-fitting dress was stained with blood oozing from my lower abdomen.
I tapped my finger to the wet patch and looked at the fresh blood staining my fingertips. My eyes lifted to see him. Stood there pointing his wand in my direction.
I screamed in agony, smashing through the frozen over lake.

Draco stood as close to the edge as he dared and looked down. Waves were engaged in their endless battle with the land, beating relentlessly against the rock face far below. Jutting out of the water were the rocks that had been cleaved from the cliff wall. As he stared at the water, the height dizzied him and his vision blurred. He stumbled and the pack of supplies he had thrown over his shoulder fell. Before he could grab it, it went over the edge. He considered Summoning it, but something held him back. Enthralled, he instead watched as the pack, as though in slow motion, tumbled through the air and finally fell into the water amidst the jagged rocks. The wind died and all he could hear was the gentle murmur of the distant pounding of the waves. He stepped back, eyes glued to my arm. "What a magnificent sight," he grabbed my jaw gently and moved my head back straight. His boney grey fingers whipped the tears trapped on my eyelashes. "Oh, don't be upset, my dear girl. You and your power will be of excellent use to us." Stepping back once more, he now turned to my father. I glanced down at my arm to see the dark skull and snake laid across my arm. It was official now. I was one of them. "Speaking of," I looked back up before anymore signs of weakness showed. "We need to mention the boy and her." My father stood up straight and glanced at me before falling back on the dark lord. "My lord, i feel as though we should wait. At least until she's enrolled and has her letter." Voldemort tapped his wand in his hand, pacing back and forth between my father and I. "mm. Well, I suppose. that way it will be fresh in our little Legies mind. Very well. However as soon as that letter comes, she must be told straight away." He stalked towards my father and raised his wand slightly, "Do not think I won't know if you fail to mention it, Severus. You know I see all."
Some day
I woke up on the hard ground, snow falling all around me, everything seemed perfect, for just those few minutes between dreams and reality, right and wrong, light and dark. I let a smile spread across my face as the flakes fell around us under the cloudy morning light, making everything look like a snow globe. Then I remembered, my brother was gone, with one of my best friends and my brother in law. The whole Weasley family was sleeping in my house because they couldn't go home, and I was cold. I opened my eyes to see George sleeping soundly with his forehead rested against mine, this was one of the few things that plastered that smile right back on my face, one look into his eyes and I can forget all the tears mine have cried. One kiss to his lips took away the memories of the screams mine have held. One embrace could melt away the sadness of the thought that I'll never hug my father again. Because he knew, he knew how broken I was, yet he chose to love my broken pieces anyways, to help me pick them up, to help me keep what was not yet broken protected.
