QUICK NOTE: I'm about to rewrite this story chapter by chapter to fix things/make it better, so if you're rereading this and things are different, that's why.
What would happen if Endeavor, real name Todoroki Enji, wasn't the monster? What if it was Todoroki Rei?
AU, where Rei is the abuser, Enji & the kid are traumatized, and (name) comes in to show them some love. They/them pronouns for Reader. Reader basically has an airbending type quirk. Touya is a Todoroki.

A/N: So, this is a dark book lol. I know that Endeavor is canonically a terrible father. What he did in canon is, of course, not at all something I can or will ever condone. For most of his life, Toya Todoroki was a loner. He was a scrawny, broody kid only known for getting in an explosive fight that led to him being held back. That is...until he met Keigo Takami. Navigating love, his own demons, and the road to becoming a Pro Hero, will Toya Todoroki be able to prove his father wrong? TL;DR: What if Rei Todoroki saved her eldest child from his accident at Sekoto Peak and he got the Hero Arc he deserved? Disclaimer: a good amount of stuff in this story is fanon and not canon, including but not limited to ages, places, and relationships. This is just my own interpretation and spin on what Toya's life may have looked like. The first chapter just serves as a montage and backstory to set up the story; the format of it is very different than the other chapters. (This is a dark Post-War AU focusing around the Todoroki family. In this AU Yandere!Endeavor is not too hurt during the war and still the Number One Hero after it. He becomes mentally unstable after seeing two of his son's almost die in war that he decides to take Shouto out of UA. Enji is trying to be a good father in his own deranged way by locking Shouto away at home and keeping him away from hero work for his own safety. He convinces everyone that Shouto is mentally unwell that that is why he is gone. He forcibly cares for Shouto drugging him to keep him weak and treating him like a child, doing the things he never did the first time around.)
