This book is based off The Chi and Pimp but only Toni is the "Pimp and gang member" so if you watched those two then you'll get the book but if you didn't, Toni's father Antonio wants Toni to take over his spot as a pimp and head of the gang he runs when she becomes of age. Toni doesn't want to ofc but doesn't have a choice when something happens to her parents.
