The story takes place in Taishō-era Japan. It follows Sukinahito Shizen, Tanjiro Kamado and his sister, Nezuko Kamado as they seek a cure for Nezuko's demon curse. Tanjiro, Shizen and Nezuko become entangled in the affairs of a secret society, known as the Demon Slayer Corps, that has been waging a secret war against demons for centuries. The demons are former humans who sold their humanity in exchange for power.

Tanjiro Kamado is a kind-hearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family in the mountains. He became his family's breadwinner after his father's death, making trips to the nearby village to sell charcoal. Everything changed when he came home one day to discover that his family was attacked and slaughtered by a demon. 

Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko were the sole survivors of the incident, with Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but still surprisingly showing signs of human emotion and thought. After an encounter with Giyū Tomioka, a demon slayer, and Sukinahito Shizen, a person that was to protect him, Tanjiro is recruited by him and sent to be taught by Sakonji Urokodaki, a retired Demon Slayer, to become a demon slayer, and begins his quest to help his sister turn into human again and avenge the death of his family.

On one mission, Tanjiro founded out that Shizen is not who he tells himself to be. Tanjiro have noticed that Shizen was a bit off, but never thought too much about it. A bit frustrated, Tanjiro demanded Shizen for answers.All Rights Reserved

The Demon Slayer Corps was created to ensure that humanity had some sort of protection from these creatures. They are a secret organisation that is not recognised by the Government. Tanjiro Kamado made it has goal to become a Demon Slayer after his family was slaughtered and his sister was turned into a demon. But he wouldn't be alone on his journey. He would always have his best friend by his side.... NOTE: If you've watched Demon Slayer, then you'll know that it is very violent and involves a lot of blood and people being dismembered, cut to pieces, you get the picture. Also, I do highly recommend that you watch Demon Slayer before reading this story as there will be spoilers. Also also, I am aware that certain girls in the harem are with certain characters from the series. This is my story and it will be adapted to work around having a reader character. Also also also, this will follow the storyline of Demon Slayer, but there will be some filler added in. This is technically a retelling of the story, so some things will be changed. For example, some characters might not die and the overall ending might be a bit happier. There will be angst and a lot of it because I don't want to fully mess around with the story, but there will be plenty of fluff too.

As he spends more time in the Butterfly Mansion, waiting for his best friends to wake up, Inosuke realizes that he gets drawn to Aoi. How is that possible? They fight all the time. "What are you looking at?" Aoi growls. "I use my eyes to look at whatever I want!" Later, seeing Kanao getting together with Tanjiro and Nezuko falling in love with Zenitsu; sometimes Inosuke wonders if a strong man like him doesn't need a woman. He is wrong.
