Filomena Arabella-May Goodbody-Baggins is a robust woman. Known for being a feisty and untamable hobbit of the Shire, not even a company of 13 dwarves are able to control her: not even a hard-headed king. After an ill-received proposal, a few stolen heirlooms, and a mutual exchange of harsh words, Filomena finds herself in the company of an unwilling dwarven king, Thorin Oakenshield. On a quest for adventure and reclamation, Filomena and her cousin, Bilbo, must break free of the silken safety blanket of the Shire and survive in the big world.

Of course, it's hard to make it big when a king doesn't like you.

Will Filomena and Bilbo make it to the end of the quest? Or will a stubborn-headed king do everything in his power to break the little woman? Will Thorin be able to stay true to his own beliefs and morals? Or will an intoxicatingly fierce hobbit break down his walls?

Read to find out ;)

NOTE: This work dips heavily into BOTH the films and book and "rewrites" some of the outcomes and character impacts. If you haven't read the book, some scenes will be very different from the film, and the timeline follows the book more closely (AKA, realistic travel time)

In return for her help, the Orc promises to spare the girl's life. Soon they meet an old war veteran who can help them get to their destination. Everything seems to be going wrong, betrayal, sickness, injuries... Will these three friends be able to push through the punches life in Middle Earth throws at them? Or will they end up falling apart? And what happens when the Orc, Bogwater, finds himself falling for Rain? *Title has been updated to be more self-explanatory. However, nothing in the story has changed. -DISCLAIMERS: NEW READERS READ BEFORE CONTINUING- •Scenes of Violence, Action, and some Language. • I do not own Middle Earth or the characters specifically created by Tolkien, all I own is Rain, Bogwater, Havish, and the plot to this story. •This story has many twists and turns, please don't freak out on me if something you don't particularly like happens. •This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit plot. This is an all original plot using my own characters that just happen to run into Gollum, Gandalf, and some others, including Elrond. This is DOES not tie into the novels/films in anyway. • I do not own any of the songs or pictures used to give depth to the story. • A story about self-acceptance and friendship.

(Title Doesn't relate to the Arkenstone!) A young girl, whose race is barely known to Middle Earth is put in danger when she, her mother, and many others have to flee their town by order of The Royal Family. Not long into the journey a tragedy occurs, leaving her alone and confused. Questions and problems appear throughout her life, such as - Where is the Key? She's already an outcast amongst those she lives with. What will happen when they have to trust an Outlaw of all people? Will they believe her, or push the girl away? Will her visions help, or be a menace? Would the Dwarves take the help of an Enemy to save their King? And, would she dare to betray them in the end? Last but not least...Is it too late? "What would you do for Thorin? To save his sanity?" I asked them. (2 Quests, not 1.) It is not the strength of the body that counts, but the strength of the spirit. -J.R.R Tolkien. I think, all bookworms - especially those Fanfic lovers will agree to this - Someone else always has to carry on the story. -J.R.R Tolkien! Still 'round the corner, there may wait...
