In New York, the buildings are quiet as the people of Manhattan sleep. By the glow of the moon, the silhouette of a girl stands atop a roof, her arms crossed as she watches the celestial body with wild green eyes. A heavy sigh escapes her mouth, the dull ache of loneliness reminding her that she's alive; she survived another night. 

Even so, she can't help but wonder what she's missing.

Normal doesn't suit Destiny's lifestyle. Through some happening when she was only a baby, she was transformed into a wolf-human hybrid. She did everything for herself, by herself. She escaped her captors, she gave herself a name, she learned to protect herself and survive on the harsh streets, and above all, she never showed her face to any human. 

She's a mutation living in the shadow of the moonlight, and to her, that's the way it'll always be. She's cursed to be a lone wolf, watching the moon and dreaming of how it could be different.

Not yet. Now, they have to get used to living in April's family farmhouse; cleaning, training, and cooking for themselves. Of course, the lives of the turtles and those near to them are never normal. There are plenty of new mutants, both friend and enemy, lurking in the moonlit shadows of the forest around them, making their lives all the more interesting. All the while, they're healing from physical and mental wounds, helping each other grow stronger, and learning more and more about the past, present, and even the future. Donnie's Ranting Mind: Stolen Love (1) by Jesse_M_Love

Donnie is Non-Binary. That would normally be fine, but a new side of their life is starting to get in the way of coming out. This "new side" is named Brandon Carter, a human boy. Donnie met Brandon when he was 15 & they were 14, a year before the Shredder incident. Brandon is the one that helped Donatello realize they were Non-Binary when they were 16 & he was 17, just after the Kraang incident. Brandon had opened a whole new world to them. Now, Brandon is 22 years old & Donatello is 21 years old. Donatello is out to April, Leo, & Splinter. And that's it. Donatello is petrified to come out to Raphael, Michelangelo, Casey & Vern. They shouldn't be so anxious since they've known their brothers since they were literal infants & they've known Casey & Vern for as long as they've known April. Brandon isn't making the situation any better, either. Donatello finds it awfully hard to focus on themself when they keep thinking of Brandon. Until Brandon & other Civilians get captured by the Foot Clan, led by Master Karai & Doctor Stockman. Karai & Stockman reveal that the civilians are to be test subjects for a new virus-like recreation of the mutagen. Vincent gives Donnie a lead (but they already knew). When the turtles find the place, they are able to save the civilians with help from April, Casey, & Vern. The Foot Clan then bomb the building. But Brandon is still trapped in his containment unit. Leo tries to get Donnie to leave, but they can't leave Brandon. They find a way to hack into the system & disconnect a weakening Brandon from the tubing, but he is still in the cage. Donnie is able to break it & holds Brandon close as the building collapses around them. They both make it out alive, & they are scared to lose Brandon again. Which leads them to reveal their newest project: an engagement ring. Then, Leo asks why Donnie risked their life for Brandon. That's when Donnie reveals that they are non-binary & that they've been dating Brandon in the first place.

He sets out to find his family, but the mutants he knew are gone. Leonardo's will is shattered, his eyes unseeing and his heart crushed with the woes of the world. Raphael is cold and ruthless, but deep inside he's more broken than ever. Michelangelo no longer laughs, his smile and most of his left arm gone; no longer a jokester, but a hardened warrior. Destiny is sorrowful and alone, damaged beyond repair from tortures she endured, wondering how she's managed to stay alive through everything. Sarina is no longer the cyborg Donnie knows, her emotions and memories wiped away. A lot can happen in thirty years, and Donatello missed all of it. Now, he's the only turtle who can bring his family back together and defeat the Shredder once and for all, freeing them from this bleak and desolate future.
