As I was running, I could hear two thundering growls. I knew that my mates were close behind but I still kept running, dodging trees and branches. All of a sudden, I heard two sets of paws running closer behind me and then they jumped on me, making me tumble to the ground. After a few seconds, they got of me and shifted back. I looked away and got off the ground. "You can look up now, my queen" one of them says. I do just that and see that they both have a pair of shorts on. They then push me against a tree. "Why did you run away from us?" The other twin says, growling slightly. I look away, unable to hold their intense stare. Words wouldn't leave my mouth, I just wanted to get away. I attempted to push them away from me and tried to squirm out of their grip, only for them to growl possessively at me and push me back. I decided to answer them back. I didn't want to get another beating. "I wa...was sc...scared." *** Estelle Lila Starr - 17, omega, best friend Persephone, ran away from her abusive pack. I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect.
