Nothing much happened in the first nineteen years of Jemma Pond's life, not until the night the Doctor came to take her away. After suffering the loss of his two loyal companions, Amy and Rory Pond, the Doctor refuses to accept defeat. Finding the adopted daughter of the Ponds he has found a loophole, someone not bound to the Ponds by blood, someone to be his new companion. As he stumbles, quite literally, into Jemma's life and takes her with him in the TARDIS, he is astonished and taken aback by something new that he has never felt before - love.
