Jeremy George Lake Charles The third generation Corvette was based on concept car Mako Shark II and was introduced for 1968 model year and produced until 1982. 

This car was based on the C5 generation of the Chevrolet Corvette sports car, which was designed for motorsport. The new Badged Whip was launched in 1953 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York based on drawings by Chevy interior designer Robert Bartholomew for their new Corvette sports cars.
