Linstead Returns
This story based on 2 years after Erin left to go to New York to take a job to keep Bunny out of jail. I kept Alvin Olinksey alive in the story as well. At first the connection between Jay and Erin is tense but they soon find their way back into each other's lives. He let her go, and he was determined to win her back. Things used to be so simple. Spencer slowly starts to fall apart as more loss and hurt fills her life. Does Jay have what it takes to win her back? Can Spencer get through the hard times in her life? read along as Spencer navigates her life in chicago as it gets more and more complicated each day with the hardships that come with their job. It's the job that will kill them. Isn't it? Spencer welcomes her half sister; Lottie, into her life and learns to love the curly haired girl. Lottie and Spencer are both so different, but maybe that's why they're so alike. Lottie's a dancer. Prides her life on being under the spotlight. Spencer's a detective. She spends her life trying to keep her face off the news. As Jay tries to win the love of his life back, Spencer struggles to let him back in after how he hurt her before. Just as she learns to lean on him again, somebody from her past pops up and mails something to Jay that changes everything. When Spencer agreed to transfer to intelligence, she wasn't signing up for all the blood, sweat, tears and pain it came with. But hey, it's a package deal. Nobody is every truly a clean cop, are they? If you work under Hank Voight, you're somewhat dirty. Working in intelligence means that sometimes you have to get your hands a little bloody. A little dirty. It means that sometimes you have to cross lines. Sometimes you have to put aside your morals. Sometimes you have to flip that switch that controls your humanity and turn it off. If you don't do that, the job will eat you up and ruin you. But maybe that's why that select group of people live for that job so much. They're the ones that learned to love the pain. Pretty much a ton of fluff one shots, (kinda a bunch of hurt, with fluff.) all dedicated to the Halstead brothers. Because why not? I don't really ever see a lot of fluff for either of the Halstead brothers so I figured I'd write some. Ignore any spelling mistakes. Because believe me there are probably a lot.
