Space battles and tender moments ensue as the crew of a decommissioned battlecarrier stumble upon a first contact transmission from an unknown alien race.
The war is over, but for Zephyr the aftermath has only begun. The galaxy is far from the idyllic zone of peace and prosperity advertised by the Cerberan Empire. As the Lord of the Burning Tides it is his duty to protect; even if those he's chosen to make his family are reviled by polite society.
Life as a coyote mongrel is tough, but Lee's devotion to his captain, his love, sees him through. That and the flask of whiskey in his breast pocket. Now if only loving an upper crust Voslian lord wasn't punishable by death...
We choose the lives we live. If that means hiding from the truth, denying it as false even, so be it. Oster lives life to his own tune. A battle song that he hums along with incessantly because if he takes a moment to breathe the silence that encroaches is unkind, and the demons of his past surge forth to crush any chance of happiness in the present. And he is happy. So very happy. That's what he tells himself every day anyway.
When disaster strikes and worlds collide Zephyr, Lee, and Oster must unite to overcome their personal struggles, but the pall of war looms ever closer.

Author's Note: I recommend reading until you hit Oster's perspective. He's incredibly cute.

Season 4 of The Virus Within
Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again.
When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
