THE SONG OF ACHILLES: THE MYTH CONTINUES

Zagreus went to his father Hades to ask him a favor.
"Father, is this a good time for us to speak?" he asked hesitantly.
"Come, my son. What is it that you want to speak with me?" Hades said in his tone of a God.
"The upcoming war on Earth is truly unsettling and we need more allies."
"Yes we do." Hades said matter-of-factly. Then added slowly and cautiously as if every word has to have a heaviness in them.
"You're going to suggest an ally, Zagreus?"
"Yes, Father." he said, hesitating a moment and trying to select his words carefully as if the next words that come out of his mouth can bring calamity.
"What about...Achilles?"
Hades rose up from his throne so swiftly that Zagreus even couldn't catch a glimpse of it. The next he know his father was in front of him, pining him onto a wall of the Underworld.
"Do you realize what you're saying?" he said almost like a whisper.
"Yes I know Father but we need hi-."
"He's long dead. It's been thousands of years" he said interrupting his son.
"Yes but we need him Father. This war needs him."
"You know the rule Zagreus. We can't resurrect him. The Gods would resent us. We could make all the Gods our enemies."
"He could be reborn as a human. He would not remember anything and the Gods wouldn't suspect anything. When he grows up and it's time to fight, we could recruit him. Since his mother is a Goddess he will eventually have his powers back. It would be too late for the Gods to retrieve then."
Hades considered his son's plan for a second.
"Zagreus this plan is too dangerous." he said grimly.
"Father, please. Consider it. Achilles has wandered around here for too long. He's a natural."
"Okay. Bring him in. I'll talk to him."
