The Visigoths

“I—I just want to be loved for who I am. Not for this—this. This.” Her words were knotted in the back of her throat and her savoir stroked her face, gently. “I don’t want to be this.” Jillian White had never wanted to be a Visigoth.

Jillian White, Dylan Smith, Benji Thomas, and Tianna just met their worse enemies: their own kind.

The Visigoths were a powerful race gifted with abilities of destroying empires. They were the ones who sacked Rome; the ones who made every civilization question their power.

Four girls live in a small town called Harwood. They’ve known each other since birth and hadn’t been able to leave each others’ sides. These girls are the descendants of the Visigoths and
their families have taught them everything they need to know.

Until Matthew Black arrives. The girls begin to realize the lies of their race, the lies they were told by their families. Jill wants to be normal, but Matthew’s making that difficult. Dylan wants to be able to trust someone other than her best friends, but how can they trust her with so many secrets? Benji wants to show everyone she doesn’t need help, but somehow, Nothing-Important keeps proving her wrong. And Tianna wants to be free from her strict grandparents, but they have a good grip on her.

Matthew Black wants to destroy their world, like the Visigoths destroyed Rome,
but he’s deeper than the darkness.
