When the power goes out the night Aurelia has to choose a groom from the king candidates, she thinks the world is in her favour. Maybe she'll get to run away without being noticed after all. But she's wrong. The moment she steps foot outside the kingdom boundaries, everyone she loves is reduced to ashes. Now, with her kingdom and family long gone, she has to make a journey - and a choice. She has limited time. Only 14 days to accomplish her goal. And it's getting harder to keep track of the days since the sun never seems to be rising. Unless she fixes it, the world will be in darkness forever. The 'Scarlet Blade' will consume all magic and create a new era, an era of bloodthirsty, vengeful spirits.
