Billie Port is a 14 year old teenager who has a sleep disorder: paralysis. With her focus on ending her scary dreams for good, she goes to psychology appointments to ease the situation, but everything starts to get worse when her mother goes to the Clinic for Addicts with Dr. Hahn to be able to break free of her addiction to drugs. Billie now has to live with her brother Michael alone at home. But Billie begins to receive signals from the Nightmares, which are the voices in her head telling her to do absurd things in exchange for the lives of her friends and family.
