They say an apple a day keeps the doctors away. I guess these people could be considered doctors...just not the good kind. So when I heard they were coming for me what do you think I did? I ran home and ate an apple of course! But I sensed them. They were getting closer, so I ate another. The candles I placed in a circle around me illuminated the darkness of the house. The flames of the candles rose and flickered uncontrollably; they were almost here. I closed my eyes and breathed deep, imagining a seal surrounding my room. When I opened them there was a bang on my door. They were in the house. "Okay." I sighed. "This is it." This was what I had prepared for my whole life; and I was ready.
