Era Of Crisis

Nobody tells you just how loud the sound of silence is. At that moment, Talea felt as if she could hear everything and nothing at the same time.

The bright and colorful tulips near the window began to wilt slowly, as if they felt a wave of sorrow spread throughout the room.

He's dead.

First his wife, then his daughter and now him. At least he'll finally be able to see them again in the afterlife, if there is one.

" Miss Sylva, I'm sorry for your loss. " The nurse said in a solemn voice and Talea bowed her head out of respect for this man. In this world full of dangerous and corrupt people, he was one of the few who was kind, generous and overall was a good man. He was someone whom she held alot of respect towards. He was like an uncle. A mentor of sorts. And now he's gone.

"I'll take care of the funeral arrangements." She told the nurse, who nodded and Talea looked towards the flowers she brought in earlier this morning.

"I should've brought him scotch brooms instead of tulips." She muttered as she walked out of the room and left the hospital.
