Amber's Apocalypse - A Travelogue Companion to This Is The Fall
April 22 I've been walking for days, they're still tracking me though. i sleep high in the trees, I double back, walk in the river, cover my tracks, start false trails...it's all slowing me down but it's really the only chance I have. I'm on foot. I'm alone. The day the grid went down I was in the mountains and I stayed put for over a month, unable to contact anyone. The electricity is out, the phones don't work, no running water, no cars, no radio...nothing. It's dangerous to go into towns now, survivors are scared, starving and dying by the thousands, but their bodies seem to just disappear. Sometimes I hear screams in the night that sound like they come straight from the depths of Hell, and the scent of sulphur and rot rides on the breeze when the heaviest clouds block out the sun. I think it's the thing that got Dan...the thing that's almost gotten me. Whatever it is, it's completely unnatural and I just know I have to stay ahead of it or I'll be just as dead as Dan is.Complete

War for Change
Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. It was two years after the war and most of the world was laid to waste, what remained of it was taken over by the gargants an enemy force stronger than any other. What was left of free nations scattered to areas of the globe with little interest to the Gargant force. There were only three free territories left in the world: Helren, Trew, and Balcrew. Most of the armed forces had been eradicated by the enemy forces, only the common folk remain. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. The After Effects
After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Thankfully I was able to escape his peachy influence and take some control of my new life. What I don't know is the Plague brought on after effects. Everything changed eleven years ago and only a few knew what actually happened after billions of people died. That all changes one-day though and I found my life completely flipped upside down. I pull my canteen out and take a swig of my hot cider letting it warm my body, but got interrupted by my sister shouting at me over the wind. "Can you take a picture of me? I have to post it to my followers when we get back down the mountain!" I roll my eyes and turn towards her, I don't even have to say anything to her, because she knows i'll always take photos for her as annoying as she may be. I peel off my mittens and feel the harsh wind eat away at my bare fingers. I stuff them in my bag, before I grab her phone and start backing up to get a better angle of her. She stands by the edge of the cliff and poses. I snap a few photos then flip the camera to take a few selfies with her in the background, even with her words of protest. I walk up to her at the edge, feeling the snow crunch under my boots, and hand her phone back. I then swing my rucksack around to the front of me, get on my knees and start to dig around for my mittens. I suddenly feel the ground shake under me. Before I could even stand up fully, the snow under my legs crumble before my eyes. Holy fuck. The snow is coming loose and is avalanching. I already feel my body fall backwards as the ground under me disappears. I look up at my sister whose face has morphed into shock. My body feels as light as a feather. This is the end for me I know it. I brace my self for deadly impact, but it never comes.. A bright light flashes as everything around me goes white. I wake up to be laying in soft snow with my rucksack on top of me. My head spun as I sat up. I look around and all I see are large trees. In fact, these trees look larger than any i've ever seen in my life, which includes the ones on Animal Planet. Where the hell am I? I look up at the sky and I see two suns? Did I get a concussion?
