Beyond the Waves

Dani knew she couldn't just can't survive underneath the water for long amounts of time, unless she had some sort of gear which would allow her to breathe. It was something Dani was desperately wishing she had at that moment.

Trying to move this time, she slowly reached out her hand and pushed herself upwards. The pain was awful. It was like someone had beat her body to the brink of death, but with no memory of the beating itself.

Slowly, and many painful jerks of her body later, Dani was about to stand up, until she put her full weight on what she thought where her own two legs.

Dani looked down, and instead of seeing what she thought where her hurting and very painful legs, she saw a tail.

Dani had a normal life, normal friends, nothing out of the ordinary that you would think twice about. But after one discovery and a fateful night, Dani's life will change forever. She never though mermaids existed before in her entire life... but that was before she became one.
