Bodies lay scattered on the ground, only a few were left standing. Angels of light. Angels of night. Their eyes fell upon me. Lowering my head, my shaking hands come into view. Slowly, they begin to glow a golden hue. Shortly after, a burning sensation spreads through my wings, and as I turn to look at them, they begin to glow with the rest of my body.
Whispers begin to arise along with the sound of others calling out my name. Weapons start to fall to the ground one by one. I attempt to lift my head to look at everyone, but the burning sensation that has now spread through the rest of my body makes it hard to do so. The pain became unbearable. My head shoots up to notice the sky grew darker within seconds, but the light radiating off of me continued to grow brighter.
"The legend is true..."
"The stories they told weren't lies..."
"The chosen one will shine through darkness..."
"The chosen one will end the war..."
These were a few things I heard as the pain took over completely. My knees grow weak as my head began to swell, their words circling within it. What did it all mean?
