I figured I'd satisfy my love for a certain skeleton and need for more thriller fanfiction books by writing about Y/N and Sans being Homicide detectives.
Y/N and Sans are both in their twenties. Sans is 24, Y/N is 20.
Don't ask how they got to be homicide detectives at young ages, its fanfiction magic.
This definitely isn't written professionally as it's 1:26 A.M by the time I'm finishing the first few parts. Some parts may be scatter-brained, it's just how I write. I'll probably reread this another day and fix any mistakes.
Very minimal puns. I know that's his character trait but don't worry, ill add more later on.

This isn't a typical sans x reader(now papyrus x reader too). Your name is (y/n) and you have lived on the surface as a royal guard for the science department in the monster areas. Your species is skeleton, there's still a good amount left of the skeleton race but then the monster side of town broke into chaos and war. You were manning your post when you see humans running after innocent monster childeren and their families. You instantly run towards the humans and start attacking them but you quickly get overwhelmed by all of them and the gunshots that you've just barely managed to dodge. You start running to buildings to get out innocent lives from the fires that are now spreading through the town. Your actions lead to hundreds if not thousands of lives saved that night. You were one of the last ones out with the other guards just in front of you. With your magic you manage to hold off humans attacks from the monsters that are heading to the underground that is supposed to be a safe haven if this was to occur. That's when you get hit by a rock in the back of the skull. This book is about a long lost skeleton warrior in the game known as undertale. (Not cannon of course) I'll be using (y/n) as her name so you can choose it to be your own name or a chosen name. All rights are reserved as far as the images I've used and of course undertale the game itself. If I do mess up on something, do not hesitate to tell me. I am all about constructive criticism. Lastly, there is a no hate policy. If you are one of those assholes who thinks it's a great idea to say you people are sick for reading this then why are you even searching things like this in the first place? Bruised To The Bone: (Sans x Reader)
(Y/N). A peculiar soul; A human core, with a skeleton's power. Her parents are ashamed of her, beating her every time they catch her using magic. One day, she accidentally hurts someone, and they bring her almost to the point of death, trapping her in her room. After the incident, time has begun to reset. Two months pass, and then it all starts over again. After two months, she's plunged into immediate pain and suffering. When she feels like she just can't take it anymore, she decides to take her own life as a sort of experiment. Y/N blasts through the wall, making her way to the chasm, where she hurls herself in.. And wakes up. Almost immediately, she's met with a threat, coming from a flower, no less. She deduces that this must be an evil sort of hell for people like her. People with magic. Her opinion is only further confirmed when she meets a skeleton who wants to kill her for existing. When Sans finds her, he's immediately confused. The absence of Frisk only adds to the confusion. Maybe this human can remember the resets. Maybe she hurt the kid because she wanted to be the most determined. Maybe this is the demon. Without fully understanding (Y/N)'s backstory, he goes after this anomaly in the timeline. He eventually decides that she isn't that bad after all; Just another depressed soul, not unlike himself. The two hit it off, their personalities obviously compatible. But what happens when one of them feels something more? And what happens when an old rival returns? HEADS UP: I really hate when, like, half the story or the whole sequel is full of pure fluff. Once (Y/N) and Sans get together, there will still be relationship drama and story drama and such. ALSO! This story is ongoing. It will have errors. Updates will occur every 2 days, and I won't edit them. Edit: OK. SO. The first few chapters are NOT a good representation of my skills. A Slight Obsession
People often say things happen due to fate or destiny, others say it's just coincidence, while some claim it's due to someone, or something, causing it to happen. Until recently, Y/N just lived their life peacefully, moving every so often due to their parents work. They tried not to get attached to anyone so they wouldn't end up hurt, or hurting someone else once they move again. After meeting certain people though, will they have to move so often? Would they even be able to? ~~~ Alrighty, hello there readers! Not sure why you're here, but if you enjoy this story, then you got bad taste, ngl. Sorry not sorry. Anyways, I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with this story but eh. The updates will be extremely random, hope you're all are okay with that. I'm mostly going to go around the main storyline with... slight changes? I just hope I don't make it anymore confusing than it already is. QUICK NOTE PLEASE READ L will be slightly aged down, I don't feel comfortable writing Y/N as an 18 year old and L as a 24-25 year old with romantic feelings for said 18 year old. L will instead be 20 since that would work out better for the story. Near will not be a love interest, he will be more of a younger brother figure, and Mello will have more of an admiration for Y/N, like a kid crushing on a celebrity sorta thing. I'm gonna try and make this sorta slowburny, but with my writing style, I'm sure that won't be an issue. I'm also gonna try to keep this as gender neutral as possible, so please let me know if I've accidentally used the wrong pronouns or something throughout the story!! I am not affiliated in any way with fangamer.com. This is my 1st story in a VERY long time. I like to do things a little different as far as reader inserts go. 1. Instead of Y/N for your name, I use _______. Why? Because when I'm reading a story and read Y/N I think Y/N and then have to remember the name of the character I've made in my head, where as if I see _____, I immediately replace it with the name because there is no word for me to read. Love it or hate it, comment. I can be persuaded if the masses disagree. 2. I don't do H/C, E/C, etc., because it does the same thing that Y/N does for me. Instead, I will be as vague as I can on insert character descriptions giving the reader more freedom to imagine what they look like without forcing it down their throats. 3. For undertale specifically, I am more inclined to make monster!reader inserts, because that makes more sense to me. This will not always be the case. If the masses prefers human!reader inserts, comment so that I may be persuaded to do so. Also, feel free to ask for requests. The more requests I get, the more inclined I will be to do more stories.
