When Bdubs kills Impulse over the clock, it shakes his friendship with Cleo. When Scar kills Grian, reality crashes down on him that he doesn't deserve to have gotten as far as he did... and in a way, he feels like an imposter.
From this, comes rocky friendships and trauma that's needed to be dealt with in Hermitcraft, and their huge dysfunctional family has to prove that they'll always be there ("Through whatever you loose, you will always have me.")
