Violet, tired of the pianist playing loudly next door when she's trying to practice for an audition, sends a letter requesting some Swan Lake. Luckily, Poppy, the pianist, was more than happy to assist and sends her own letter back.
One letter turns into two and soon they're writing to each other all the time, a friendship forming between them.
