Every rounds, the impostor kills off a crewmate, and every round, the group tries to figure out which of the crewmates is actually a impostor. Sometimes the kids who play this game decide to meet up in person, and yohan, Jean, Paula, Cleo, Eiji, and Knox have done just that. Unfortunately, one of the group has decided to take on the mantle of the impostor and has already killed onced. As the police fail to solve the case, she finds her life being centered around her father's death. The grief stricken Kinsley seeks a fresh start at the University of Maryland, but is submerged in the lies and secrets that are entangled with in the case. She finds herself looking into the case with the help of the daring British private investigator, Alexander Rouse. In 2008, there was a detective child, a child that pushed aside every single one of his loved ones, except for his own older superhero brother. He never wanted to do this, but in order to avoid getting hurt by someone's eventual death, he feels the need to do it. However the board is soon going to change, big players will be wiped off allowing for the small ones to thrive or for the surviving to crush everyone under their heel.. Hoping to avoid the oncoming disaster the largest fish desperately look for a solution. After all, once the world has been set on fire, someone has got to rebuild it, right? Two hundred years later the world has changed, and certainly not for the best. Between the Raiders, mercs and horribly irradiated monsters that roam the late city of Boston, misery, famine, violence and fear haunt the commonwealth. And to make matters worse, the last barrier between the people and those that would hurt them; the Minutemen, recently crumbled under their own corruption. It is in this period that new players rise for the good of the people, whereas old players emerge from their slumber with nothing but sinister machinations.

I was walking through the worst part of town - and may I add, in the dark. I was almost home...so close. Before I knew what was happening, I was witnessing a murder. Horrified, I tried to get away, but it was too late. I was taken hostage by a man, let me restate that, a monster. Will I ever be free again? What happens when he isn't who I thought he was? What happens when the monster turns out to be someone I could never have guessed?
