Droughty, wildfires, hunger and war are all the reasons why in the not too distant future United states of America finally collapsed. Form the ashes rose a new governance, dystopian nation of Panem, divided into 12 Districts. Each District had its own purpose or rather resources with which they equip the Capitol and in return they get protection and order. That system worked for a while, but eventually the Districts rose against the Capitol because of the poverty that prevailed within their teritory. Districts failed in that attempt, and that was when Panem created the Treaty of Treason: "In penance for their uprising, each district shall offer up a male and a female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public "reaping". These tributes shall be delivered to the custody of the Capitol. And then transferred to a public arena, where they will fight to the death until a lone victor remains. Henceforth and forevermore this pageant shall be known as The Hunger Games." It was Lucas Tomlinson's first time on the public reaping and he just happened to get picked. Louis Tomlinson, being his older and much more capable brother, decided to valiantly volunteer in his place. Unfortunately, he will be forced to face his childhood friend; Spencer Hastings. Both of them were chosen as the representatives of District twelve for the seventy-fourth Hunger Games. The children raised in poverty will be pampered for two weeks before the games, enjoying the luxuries of the capitol to serve as an entertainment to the citizens of Panem's heart... But Louis' attention will be elsewhere. Somewhere around the curly-haired representative of District three.
