Darkas Turner, daughter of the most successful 'monster' hunter in Westhaven, lived under the horrible care of her stepmother, Lila Coletti. She was abused mentally, emotionally, and occasionally physically by Lila. Her father, William Coletti, never knew because he was always away.
Darcy's half-sister, Penelope, cared about her sister very much. She became tired and angry over the way her mother treats Darcy and told their father everything, hoping that with the new peace treaty being set up between the Vampire King, The Lycan King, and William, he would finally see and do something about it.
Now Darcy's life is about to change from a scared and broken bastard daughter, to one of the most unique and powerful supernatural creatures in Westhaven... with The Lycan King following her around like a lost puppy. Darcy will welcome this change as a second chance to live her life the way she deserves.
With everything she ever wanted at her fingertips, even the 'Coletti' name, but also a bitter ex-stepmother dogging her every move... Will Darcy remain the sweet girl who just wanted someone to love her, or will she become the most difficult 'monster' for everyone to face...

"You have someone out there just for you. Waiting for you." I whisper softly. A sad smile forms on my face that is now saltier than the ocean bed itself. I try to tug his hand off my face, but his hold is firm. He leans his head down and places it against mine. "I know." His whisper equally soft.
"You need to let go. Just as I am." I close my eyes and take in the breeze of ocean that surrounds him and now me. I hear a deep growl just as his hold tighten on my face but it's still gentle.'
