Saira has lived her entire life in a remote rainforest village, tucked beneath the emerald canopy and veiled in secrecy. She's careful, always - keeping to herself, avoiding suspicion, and hiding the strange gift that connects her to the wild things of the jungle. The villagers don't know what she is. They can't. Because if they did, it would mean the end of everything her mother has fought to protect.

But the forest has begun to change. Creatures grow restless. The river speaks in a darker tongue. And Saira feels eyes watching her from the shadows-ancient, cold, and patient.
