Peeta Mellark lives in District 12 and has worked in his parent's bakery for all his 16 years.
But now it is the day of the Reaping. The day tributes will be chosen for this year's 74th hunger Games. 
Primrose Everdeen is reaped for the Females. 
But her sister Katniss volunteers, the girl he has had a crush on for 11 years.
And for the Male tribute, he is reaped.
The odds are definitely not in his favor today.

Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. Katniss Everdeen has a tough life for a 17 year old. Her father died 2 years ago and her mother supposedly committed suicide because she was devastated. She was left with her 14 year old sister to take care of and with hardly any money and a small house. She has to juggle school, bullying, depression, taking care of Prim and having an abusive boyfriend. Follow her life and her trying to hold on strong. I don't own any of these characters!!!
