Everybody has a guardian, a guardian angel in fact. Once you are born you have someone looking over you constantly. You can see them, no one else can. Everybody believes in heaven, so naturally everyone believes in Hell. Demons from Hell where bad, despised and hated.
Melody, grew up with her parents telling her this. If you don't have a guardian angel, you don't have anything.
