It all started the day they dumped Hope into the cell next to Lau. Forced to start over their lives and create new memories in a nightmarish setting, they need to stick together to survive. And, of course, eventually they fall in love.
Later, Hope, free at last, wanders aimlessly, looking for the men who took everything from her. Taken
under the wing of a group of other unusual people, she is forced to wonder whether releasing the pain she’s carried for so long would be forgetting, and betraying, Lau.
The Two of Us is an original story told with three different POV’s and at two different times. Following Hopeful Fear’s story as she struggles to get the world to make sense, it asks one terrible question:
What are you suppose to do when the world you painfully pieced back together loses the one person it was built on?
Hope only knows one thing for sure: You can never promise a happy ending.

What if it hurts?" She asked questions so quickly that Mr. Evans doesn't even have time to answer any of them. "The baby will be fine. Don't worry. It won't hurt as well. It'll be over before you even know it." But no matter what he said, she was shaking with fear and panic. The doctor came towards them. "Do we have a name for her?" She asks as they wait for a contraction. Mr. Evans looked between the doctor and his wife before answering, "Actually, we haven't-" "Hope" Mrs. Evans looked up at him, smiling. "Hope Evans." ~~*~~ Hope Evans lost more in her life at such a young age. She lost every dream she has ever had, lost everything she held dearly and she lost everyone she ever loved.
