Tessa is still trying to figure out a way to work with her 5½-year-old gelding BlueRouch, who her parents had boughten for her just over five months ago. Then her parents hit her with the information that she's going to the Edwardson Riding Academy, the same school that her trainer went to! It's a huge honor to be one of the 100 students enrolled, and out of the 25 admitted every year, and she knows it. Tessa instantly makes it her mission to be the best of the best there and starts to work towards her goal. However, she's been struggling with her new horse, newer material, and progress is slow.

Things aren't going well in preparation for Edwardson, and once she's there, she's going to be going up against riders who have the same or better training and horses. She needs to prove that she can ride, and ride well against those who have worked for years more than her at the school. It cost her parents a fortune to get her in, and she needs to show them that she deserves the gift. But first, she needs to acknowledge the signs and understand that sometimes...the problem isn't with the horse, but the rider.

If her pedestal is knocked out from underneath her, would she want to get back into the saddle?
