Last summer takes place in the 80s, Where two girls (Jasmine and Kate) meet at a summer camp. Unexpectedly they fall in love, But problems hit when They live thousands a miles away from each other. So every summer, They promised each other at the camp every year to keep in touch.

This story is WLW (Women love women), Or as many people know as a lesbian love story, If you do not wish to support the LBGTQA+ community. I recommended on not reading this book, This book talks about the struggles for the LBGTQA+ community back in the 80s, The hate, and harassment that was made upon them, This book also has various mentions about Suicide, Self harm, Slurs that were used to go against the LBGTQA+ community and racism. This book is to simply show people how times were back in the 80s when you were simply in two women in love, This book is not meant to show any hate to POC (People of color) or the LBGTQA+ community.
