Summary:Dean has taken on the role as protector and provider for Jo who he infected a little over three years ago. Benny Lafitte is the vampire version of his lettuce munching brother Sam and he's Dean's voice of reason in the dark. He keeps them all on the straight and narrow.When Dean sees Castiel Novak for the first time his vampire instincts kick in to high gear. The overwhelming urge to possess or kill has Dean teetering on the edge of his control. Will Dean be able to fight his predatory instincts?

Notes:In this Dark Alternate Universe Sam quit being a hunter when Dean became a vampire, killed their dad and infected Jo. He's gotten back with his old girl friend Jess and they are engaged with a baby on the way. Bobby still hunts on occasion with his friend Rufus. Sam doesn't want him any where near his new life as long as he's still hunting.Dean lives with Jo and Rufus in a small cabin in Tennessee. Plenty of animals to fight the urge brother, Benny always says when Dean complains about being in the middle of bum fucked Egypt. Dean always rolls his eyes, but he knows Benny's right. To his family he may be a monster, but here he's just Dean Winchester - Fangs check! Ego check! Sarcasm check!

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. Destiel Being Noticed
Castiel Novak comes from a religious family, only having his siblings to turn to since they've never met their mother and their father has abandoned them. Castiels eldest brother Michael (32) has become 'father' of the house, Lucifer (28) has become a drug addict only coming to the family to see if they will help him get his next fix, his sister Anna (26) acts as sort of the mother hen towards everyone, then there is Castiel (18) who happens to be homosexual, and Gabriel (16) the youngest most annoyingly adorable little brother. Home life for Castiel is no better than school life, he is constantly berated for being gay and is only allowed to stay with the family because Anna won't let Michael ditch Castiel and Michael doesn't want to get on gods bad side. Dean Winchester (19) lives with a drunk father and looks our for his younger brother, Sam (16). He has looked out for Sam his whole life, always there to make sure that Sammy is never left alone to get hurt by their fathers drunk anger. All throughout Deans childhood he has looked at girls, has wanted them, yet he sometimes gets these feelings for boys as well. But his father tells him it's wrong, beats him if he even talks about it or does anything with another boy. Dean doesn't know what to think, to listen to his father or to listen to his heart. He's never had his mother by his side, she died and wasn't there to help Dean understand himself. So Dean instead listens to his father and watches out for Sammy. So what will happen when a religious disappointment to his family and an obedient confused son find their paths cross? Will they find love within each other?
