Being friends with Zuko as a child never brought a problem for the girl- in fact it was what brought her luck. Both Zuko and (Y/n)  were banished, both simultaneously because of their fathers for different reasons. This event led them to the same path, (y/n) joining his ship by chance and becoming his courtier to search for the avatar to regain their honors again.

Though Zuko seems to be doing fine with Iroh's guidance, (y/n) keeps him company as someone of the same age. But when their ship suddenly comes across the sight of a giant flow of light escaping from and iceberg in the middle of the icy sea, (y/n) gets a change of plans. He's loyal, to his friend and family, and also to his morals... but now he's finally at a crossroad.

Fire Lord Azulon was one of the very few humans aware that this folklore was more than a mere legend, although slightly altered, but factual. He sought out dragons and in one of his searches he found a Child of the Forest with a Fire Element by sheer unfortunate luck and after defeating her, he imprisoned her. (Y/N) was seen as the key object of victory within the Fire Nation and a driving force of power to their legacy and supremacy but to Zuko she was not a weapon of mass destruction or a spirit creature; she was so much more. As the Sozins Comet approaches and the Avatar Aang prepares to face Firelord Ozai with the help of his friends, it's clear that Zuko and (Y/N)'s paths are more far apart than they know.
