When I looked through the window into the hallway, Cam Stevenson wasn't doing what I expected. I figured he'd walk straight out to the paparazzi waiting by the exit. Play into it. But he was pacing instead. Phone in his hand, not getting through to someone. Driver, maybe. Still. I don't know what I was waiting for. For him to switch it on. Do something. But he didn't. And I think that's why I went out there. Which, looking back, I shouldn't have. Would've been a lot easier if I'd just left it. Because then I wouldn't know what I know now. And I wouldn't be stuck with... whatever this is. These questions. Things that don't line up. But I'm not getting into that. It doesn't matter. It doesn't mean anything. -------------------------- Loh and Cam were at the peak of their careers. Had life all figured out. They just needed to get through college. That was it. Except now... maybe they were wrong.
