You can probably think of a thousand reasons not to be a surgeon. They make it hard on purpose. There are lives in your hands. There come moments where it's more than just a game. And you either take that step forward or turn around and walk away.

That's what Cecilia and Nicholas French told each other when they started medical school. Being the children of the man who created the coronary artery bypass graft, or more commonly the CABG, a surgical procedure used to treat coronary heart disease, put a lot of pressure on them. People told them that they were never good enough, that they were posh kids who knew nothing about real lives, that just because their father was a surgeon, didn't mean that they would never make it out in the field.

But that was the problem.

They loved the playing field.

Graduating top of their class at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the twins were now out for more. Landing them back in their hometown of Seattle.
