A pirate captain by the name of Asriel and his faithful crew end up finding a merperson washed up to shore amidst their travels. This merperson, Morea, was separated from their pod due to a harsh storm at sea, and gained a serious injury to their tail that inhibits them from being able to swim and find their pod again as they all move to warmer waters for their yearly migration. The captain and his crew agree to help them find their pod while they heal, but their travels turn out to be anything but smooth sailing. Unique friendships are formed, an enemy makes themselves known, and a love blossoms between Asriel and Morea.
