Elizabeth is having a tough time. One of the problems occupying her mind is the fact that she is in love with her best friend, Aaron. Before she can admit her feelings, Aaron commits suicide, leaving Elizabeth to pick up the shattered pieces of her heart. In order to heal, Elizabeth must try and cope with the love of her life's death, as well as finally face her own problems. It's unsteady sailing from now on.

Clement Theodore Cavendish is forced to return to his hometown when his father is on his deathbed. After all those years Theodore has to come to terms with his duties and his place in the town.
