After the murder of a classmate, speech-impaired Zhen Jie's one of the first suspects since she was the "last to see the deceased alive".

Since the police were questioning Zhen Jie, a group of girls began tormenting her whenever they had the chance to keep her from telling the police that they were actually the ones to see their classmate.

A lone criminal sees Zhen Jie one night, and despite his cold and indifferent personality, he helps her. From that night on, he held her under his wing - promising to protect her until her dad returned home.
