Scarlet Pierce' s father is the Prison Warden at Riker's Prison, where Cletus Kasady is being held. Scarlet being infatuated with Kasady's story she breaks in his cell late one night to meet him. Over time the two of them form a bond. When Scarlet's father catches wind he orders Kasady to be executed.
