In an alternative AU with no sundrop/moonstone, Eugene's uncle Hector takes control of the Dark Kingdom after Edmund's death. Seventeen years later Rapunzel travels to the Dark Kingdom to marry Eugene who she's been engaged too since a child - only to discover that the engagement has been called off and the Dark Kingdom is not as it was when Edmund was the king. It doesn't take long for her to figure out Prince Eugene is keeping secrets.
Rated mature for non-graphic violence and major character death- perhaps a little bad language, but no smut or gore.
Its pairings are New Dream and a brief nod towards Quirin/Adira.
