Hunter wasn't home, in fact he wasn't even in his world anymore, he was somewhere extraordinary, somewhere he'd only fantasized about in books. He was where fairy tales went to die and replaced with Grimm tales. He was in hell and he was definitely okay with it.
Au where Hunter and Edric switch places with Amity and Luz, Hunter is going to be the human choosing to be in the boiling isles and taken in by Eda, except people at home aren't quite as welcoming as Luz's mom. Edric is Amity, the tight laced boy bursting to break free of his mothers rules and responsibilities. And of course just like Amity and Luz these two fall in love.
