Can you really control your fate?
-
Kiah White, a quiet sixteen-year-old from California, doesn't want any trouble. But after an accident that almost kills her, she is thrown into a world of danger, myth, and mayhem.

She is made an offer - a way back to her old life - by a mysterious man in a long cloak. But the terms are less than ideal...

While Kiah's life is turned upside down, halfway across the world, Nils Svart is given a second chance. This time, the offer comes from a slight man with dark hair and scarred lips.

Who are these men? Nils knows them well. They are old gods settling a wager. A wager that will lead to the end of destiny.

But as one of the gods begins to dream, the sands of time start to run dry. They are dreams of darkness and violence. Dreams of his own death, and the end of us all.

Winter is cold this year. Colder than it should be...

For a thousand years, the outside world meant nothing to the Norse trickster god, Loki, and his devoted wife, Sigyn. The little prison inside the cavern in which Loki was chained was everything. Neither of them seemed to care anymore about what happened outside the cave. But when Thor, god of thunder, appears with a proposition for Loki, they are thrust back into the real world. Loki is tasked with tracking down the thief of Freya's necklace, Brisingamen. No one else knows where the thief could be hiding; Odin cannot even find him from his throne. And since whoever holds Brisingamen holds violent sway over Freya, the Aesir send their old problem-solver - and problem-causer - to find their new enemy. It takes a thief to catch a thief, right? Loki's quest won't be as easy as he believes, for the thief inhabits one of the most powerful and magic-ridden places in the Nine Worlds. As he ventures out into a world that is both familiar and foreign to him, he must follow the thief into the one place he hates above all others. Home. The Queen of Jotunheim by SindianStar
39 parts Complete Mature
What if the war that Thor started between Jotunheim and Asgard had been stopped before it started? What if as a result Thor was never banished to Midgard and Loki gained more respect? What if this outcome not only changed the future but also the past? What if all this happened, because of one change? Following Loki's perspective, we find ourselves in the setting of the first Thor movie, with one key difference. Jotunheim is not ruled by King Laufey, but instead by an unknown Queen. When Thor's reckless action that originally would have started an all-out war between the realm of Jotunheim and Asgard does not have the same results, the fate of both realms is forever altered. As history suddenly takes a dramatic turn, Loki, the prince of Asgard who is often overshadowed by his brother Thor, suddenly gains more recognition and praise from his parents, King Odin and Queen Frigga, as he takes the initiative in this new peace with the Frost Giants, while Thor grows resentful of being in the shadows for the first time. When the new ruler of Jotunheim, a powerful and mysterious queen, reveals herself from hiding, it creates a shift in the dynamics between the Asgardians and Frost Giants. This new Queen might hold the key to both the future and the past, and as doors to new possibilities and diplomacy are open, long-forgotten secrets and buried truths begin to surface, threatening not only to shatter the illusions of peace and stability but also the trust and bond between Loki and his family. In this world of trust and betrayal, lies and truth, peace and war, Loki must navigate the fragile balance between his own desires and the fate of the realms, and as new alliances are made and old enemies resurface, Loki will find himself on a journey of self-discovery that will force him to face the twisted story between Asgard and Jotunheim and his true identity.
