John Winchester is missing. Dean needs to find him, but he can't do it on his own. So he convinces Sam to join him, and together they hunt down the youngest Winchester, Matthias. Born two years after Mary died, in one of John's more careless flings and left in front of a motel door, Mat was raised in the true Winchester way. Only, he could never quite get the hang of anything John tried to teach him. Having given up on making Mat a hunter, John focuses on his other two sons. After Sam left, it doesn't take long before Mat, at sixteen, follows in his older brother's footsteps. But he can't escape the Winchester destiny. Four years after he left, Sam and Dean come calling about their missing father. Mat reluctantly agrees to help in their search, but as they keep following the leads John sets down, Sam and Dean can't help but notice that Mat seems...different then he used to. At twenty-four years old, she was already acutely aware of the danger of hunters. But when a flirtatious Winchester and his bookish younger brother step into her life, she can't help but be swept into their schemes. --- "For a hunter, you're pretty charismatic." I wrote the story while I was still in high school, so now that I'm older rereading it, I definitely agree. However, I do still like my story and want people to enjoy it, so I felt the need to rewrite some of it. The Winchester's brothers can only pushed so far. -- Sam and Dean jump onto the cage where the door is and the lock breaks free opening the door. You grab the chain and pull. They jump down in front of you. "Now why would we hurt you? Sam can you believe that we just saved her from becoming vamp food and this is her reaction." "Yeah well just let her go..." You stand your ground and suddenly your slammed into the corner. And the chain is in Dean's hands no longer attached to the cage. "Let me go!" You roared. "Or you'll do what? I can see inside your head and you want us." Dean said darkly. "You don't want me. Please just go away I'm a nobody. And I will make sure you regret taking me.. Now let me go." Your eyes change color, kinda like a mood ring with how you feel. They are normally blue but now they are green. "Dean did you see that her eyes change colors." "Yes Sammy I did." You push with all you have and RIP the chain out of Dean's hands and run up Sam and jump out of the cage and run. Trigger warning enter at your own risk. It started with demon blood. Things have only gone downhill from there. Now Sam is admitted into a drug abuse treatment center where he will have to navigate the demons of his past and the trauma that ensues from being forcibly admitted. Meanwhile Dean, Bobby, and Cas have their own battles to fight being on the outside of Sam's recovery.
