When Ruby Daly moves from West Virginia to Virginia she's not very excited. Thurmond left her with anxiety and feelings of sadness about the things she had to endure. She was a loner besides her main (and only) friend Sam, so Ruby knew she would have trouble making another.
When she enters East River high she's met with a group of people she learns to call friends and even a boy she might like. But her past soon becomes a part of her present and her friendships and new relationship get tested.
Everything that she's grown and learn to loved can easily crumble and she has to fight for everything she's worked for!
